AVE (Alta Velocidad Española) seat renovation project for RENFE’s first generation Alstom fleet.
The solution adopted was to recover the existing structure, which was still solid and well-designed, using it to build an entirely new seat, correcting past defects and incorporating all the current functionalities and levels of comfort, through the use of nobler materials such as leather. These seats are the ones that are still in circulation, with proven success after 18 years.
